Thank you for your purchase and thank you for your enquiry. The basic method of application is to push the fingers into the product and apply to the face one colour at a time using the mirror to see what you are doing. The wax based formula is pigment dense so a little bit will go a long way.

The formula is waterproof but collapses on contact with soap, detergent or alcohol. I find shampoo the most effective method of removal. There are a number of theories to effectively camouflaging the face, common to all is SIMPLICITY. A complex pattern of shapes and colours will not work as well as bold simple asymetrical areas of colour. The shading theory requires application of lighter colours to the shaded areas of the face such as under the chin or below the brow (be careful not to get any it the eyes) and darker colours on the raised areas of the face such as cheekbones and chin.

The "extension of curves" theory tries to change the shape of shodows on the face by extending them asymetricly, for example drawing a dark blob next to the left side of the mouth so the face is less recognisable or extending one eyebrow.

Gestalt theory tries to divide the face so that parts of the face look like they belong to different aspects of the environment rather than as a whole face. An example would be making a cheek look like a rock and drawing a "tree branch" diagonally accross the face.
